As I look in the trenches
see what has happened
there is nothing to see
but fallen soldiers and their captain



war is confusing to me
I am not sure why I joined the army
one day I am hugging
my wife and kids
the next day I am
see my fallen comrads



there is nothing to do
but to keep on fighting
because if I don't I will be the one who is left dying.





As we were kids
we dreamt of the day
when we could leave home



and be like soldiers for a day
when we listed we were unsure
who knows what will happen
it was an adventure



the first couple of bullets
seemed like nothing to you
but when you got shot everything changed
I prayed and hoped that you would be okay
but from that day on i would never be the same.
